For my womenswear project, I reimagined a passport as a textile print inspired by my experience as an immigrant. The passport, a symbol of movement and belonging, became a visual language across the garments. The pieces reflects the resilience of immigrant communities, their strength, perseverance, and the determination to build a life while carrying home within them.
For the menswear look, the piece explores visibility, perception and the idea of being seen versus being defined. Graphic target motifs suggest systems of labeling and observation, placed directly onto the body as part of the silhouette. The garment questions how identity is constructed, whether it is self expressed or assigned, and turns the body into both, subject and statement.
